I found this bottle of wine the other day and just had to try it out! How could you pass up a bottle called Cupcake??? It received 95 points and thus thought it to be a fine $11 investment. It does not taste like cupcakes, sorry to say... but it whets the palate nicely!

There is also this fantastic bakery downtown called patty cake bakery....yummy! They make such great fresh bread.... better than I have found in NYC (surprising, I know). The loaf next to the wine was a garlic loaf. Just a hint of garlic was all I needed with some butter and a great glass of wine.

I wanted to share in my experience, so a photo was the best I could come up with!

So I went to a place called American Candle looking for a Vera Bradley purse for my BFF. Little did I know what treasures laid in store for me. I found christmas decorations and ornaments, barrels of candy, crabtree & evelyn products, a blue paint, life-sized elephant, the bag I was looking for & my favorite licorice (red pinwheels)! my sister's crayons

My swank sister made these a while ago for my lil man!!! I think I appreciate them more than he does. Depending on the location of where you hold them and the angle you press down, you get an entirely different shade of the particular heart-shaped crayon! He will "grow" into them.... i think!

BTW- Nirvana's songs are being re-released..... I thought of that when I typed heart-shaped....It made me think of this little news bit I saw the other day on my nookcolor (next best thing to my iPhone)!!!

My sister's artwork

So, my sister can paint, sculpt, draw, photograph, etc. You name, she does it right down to batik! i pretty much can't do any of that, at all. I really just want to steal all of her artwork and throw it up on my walls!

What I did want to do was snap a few shots of what she has done. I am very proud of her and admire what she does with her hands and mind! I hope you enjoy it. Her name is Kris Miele-Beatty and she maintains a blog on wordpress called art wasabi. Check her out!

Haha! I was waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up today! I had just gotten my nails done and finished early. Funny how many things you notice when you have no where to go and nothing to do.....There is an amazing little book shop on the main drag with all sorts of neat books to read; most of them are second hand in nature, but nonetheless cool. I would have taken my photos there but people stared at me as I was trying to figure out the angle for which to snap a couple of pics on my cell.... I guess I was way to obvious! Some guy randomly said "no photos please." and ducked his head...Ummm, OK.

A Perfect Blend

So here is a great wedge that has the perfect blend of two things that I currently want.....Blue suede platform and T-strap platform. It is the Renfrow Wedge by Cole Haan......terrific, right? I knew you would say YES!

I am literally DYING over here for a pair of the Jessica Simpson Dany t~strap platforms in tan!!!!! I can only find these on EBay for, oh....$130+ right now and NOT in my size. Anyone have a pair of 8's that they want to sell to me??? I am not too proud to beg!

Current obessions- TOP 10 (may change in a day or so)

1. silk tunics/ vests/ camis ~ they look great with shorts, tucked into pencil skirts, full skirts & maxi skirts. Colors I adore are green, ivory, red, coral, and pale pink.

2. Rolled cardigans!- roll the sleeve ladies.... Makes you look like you just played tennis, allows for arm candy to show and is a new twist on a classic.

3. T-strap heels and platforms~ do I need to say more?

4. Royal blue suede platforms- they will great with anything mini, skinny jeans, and zebra print clothing.

5. Cap toe flats. They take a beating and still look good! They are demure, classy and look great with bootcuts and skinny jeans.

6. Peep toe shoes! Great with jeans and skirt. I am definitely feeling a raw silk version with a flat bow on top!

7. Agate jewelry! OK... so it is not diamnonds, but amn they sparkle, are large & mostly, they are funky!

8. 2 finger rings. Such a great take on a regular ring, providing new options!

9. Anything yellow....no seriously, anything yellow is a must for me this summer!

10. 3/4 lace t-shirt....cannot be too tight, but not loose either!

Ok- HERE GOES NOTHING!
IT'S LATE..... like 11:46 at night & apparently i thought this was a good time to start blogging, again. My first go at it went worse than the amy fisher scandal (ok slight exaggeration)! But i do believe that this is not my forte but i have such a wanting to do this, i just figured that a 2nd time around may prove successful....wink-wink to the big guy above.

Prior to going further, i want to thank kendi of kendieverday.com and jessie of concretecatwalk.com! I religiously read their blogs & am finally getting the gumption to do my own.....

Starting tomorrow, well basically today, i will post photos of outfits, ideas, crazy experiences, etc. I am assuming, and redirect me if I am wrong...but it may turn out to be an eclectic mish mosh. If I didn't put this disclaimer in, i'd be lying to myself! I am a mish mosh of sorts as well!
