Where to start?

Wow! 2 years has passed by for me.......I started my blog to help my inspirations from drifting away like a puff of smoke, yet I found myself too busy and too tired to do what I like!

Right now, summer is in full bloom which is my down time....the natural time for me to be able to do some things that I enjoy! Let me take a moment to recap my 2 years:

I got married, I still teach, my son is now 2 and I have purchased and worked tirelessly on my home!

Other things that I am into right now is cooking and trying new things to eat such as magi-mahi tacos! I have also taken up playing a trading card game with my husband called magic. Finally, I have found POSHMARK! LOL- it's my addiction! It is an online consignment shop where you sell your wares, trade or buy items of interest! They have brand and theme specific "parties" that happen every couple of hours.

The las item that I am most interested in is having another child! This is my main focus and will be my main joy with my son!

I heart ASOS

This website has been my go to... now all I need is the money to buy the stuff! They are an UK site that offers free shipping and free returns with an Americanized site so that you are not having to figure out conversion rates on the cost of items. Best of all, they sell nice quality clothing and some higher end labels without being overly priced. They are trendy in the sense that they provide a broad spectrum of items that would fit the classic chic, uber trendy, sexy club goer, darker (OK emo), etc.

Every time I go on, there is something else that I find and adore! I have gotten a few items from them and have been pleased. I did return a dress that my boyfriend despised..... and there was no hassle and the refund was much quicker than expected and even faster than other companies I have returned items to.

Check 'em out and post me a comment as to what your thoughts are and anything you found of interest... I will the post the item on my blog!

Here are a few things I am crushing on currently:

JADE nail polish......I'm definitely jaded. Aren't you?

So I was on the blog- The Glamourai yesterday and noticed the lovely array of colors and noticed the Chanel Jade #407. It is just what I was looking for. It actually came out for the fall 2009 limited edition collection that sold out almost immediately. I looked online to purchase it, but could not. Ebay has some on sale but the one has a bid of up to $228 already with 42 bidders in!!! What will people do in order to stay trendy?

Here are some alternatives to the absolutely gorgeous & untouchable color that I think is great for late summer/ early autumn.

OPI- Hey! Get in Lime! $7.65 here

Orly- Mint Mojito here
BTW: I feel that this one most closely resembles the Chanel Jade #407 polish and BEST OF ALL- on Amazon it is only 50 cents!!!!

Ciate Paint Pots- Apple & Custard here
It is in Euros as $9, so figure it is closer to $20 US dollars... Oh, but what a pretty little bottle. It reminds me of something you would see in Alice In Wonderland! I would not drink this one though!

All of these nail blogs can and are attributed to my sister Kristen & my girl Courtney!!!

And more fun nail stuff

The ladies at Hey Nice Nails offer up a good tutorial for making water-colored nails. Please visit their website at: Hey Nice Nails

Salon Effects Nail Polish

Thanks to my girlfriend Courtney for being so courageous and trying this out- has provided us ladies with another method of painting our nails. She texted me this info the other day. She said it worked well and was easy to apply. Check it out!

The website says that it lasts up to 10 days and comes off with polish remover. There are colors/ styles such as: crackled, sparkle, denim, animal print, solids, flowers and butterflies, etc.

Baltimore

Here, we stand in front of the courthouse on E. Pratt St. Alex is wearing a green striped t from The children's Place along with shorts. Sneakers are Converse One star (can get at a converse outlet store). I am wearing a T-shirt from j Crew (outlet), shorts from Express (has no pockets- LOVE it), sandals DV by Dolce Vita @ DSW and necklace from Rue 21 (multi-colored beaded).

Oh AND this sculpture was WAY fun for the baby. I liked it too!
After dinner at Mo's Seafood warehouse (it was just ok.....too much hype) Necklace and bracelet from J Crew outlet, shorts Express (no pockets), jacket and shirt I got from a consignment store in NYC- blazer Sisley and top- Kensie. Nail polish- Revlon Emerald. Earrings-gifted.
Alex is wearing Ralph Lauren bright pink Polo with nike 6.0 Mogan's (outlet for $20) and The Children's Place Cargo shorts.
One day I will get my boyfriend John in a photo! I am dressing him nicely and his style is getting snazzy!
BTW- the umbrella is a Thomas the Train and I received a ridiculous amounts of comments on it. The handle is the train itself! I got it for about $15 at a Toy R Us outlet store.......Can you tell I like outlets?

Alex needing to go to the bathroom...hahaha! Top-Old Navy, roll up lightweight khakis- The children's Place, Converse one Star sneakers.
This is the Constellation.... AND I am sitting on the crapper! LOL No, really... I am. This was the wash room. It was next to the dining area and was specifically for the use of the captain. The toilet it where I am sitting and below me was the tub. Extremely narrow but what  great view you could have of the south Pacific while bathing!

Skirt and top- H & M
necklace- Rue 21 (as seen in the first pic)
I LOVE Baltimore with a capital L!!!! It was young, vibrant, and family-oriented at the same time! Observation: You could go on a party boat and when done, walk right off and go straight to a Rita's and pick up a Southern Peach Gelati (Ok.... It was seriously yummy) however, I did not do the party boat. I had lil man with me... wouldn't that be awkward. The restaurants were great, I would recommend Tascas. A spanish tapas/ restaurant. The food was excellent and you get a spectacular view of the harbor.

Pico de Gap???? Por que???

Patrick Robinson is out.... Ummm ok, he didn't do much for the company- though reliable and for the most part aesthetically pleasing, has been lackluster & without true definition of the companies vision of fashion & design.

So what do they do? They are going to selling upscale tacos in the San Fran area. This is a marketing ploy- tacos are apparently DELiSH, but it's all in hopes of marketing their 1969 jean line..... If you just happened to have bought clothes that day while picking up some Gap tacos, your food is free & they are giving coupons out as well.....not too sure what to think.

They should bring that taco truck to the Poconos or at least the NYC area!!!! Maybe those tacos will be enough to invest in some bland clothing! Lol! I do like Gap though- they are great for basics!
